Sow seeds thinly in rows 30 cm (12 in) apart. Cover lightly with 1.5 cm (half inch) of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.
When harvesting select young carrots alternately from the row, allowing the remainder to develop fully. No other thinning is needed if sown thinly. Keep well watered to prevent roots splitting.
